Ceramic crowns / bridges
All-ceramic crowns and bridges look like real teeth. Sometimes the tooth crown is severely damaged, weakened and discoloured. Caries, fractures and large old fillings can be the cause of this. To extend the life of the tooth or to improve its appearance, we recommend fitting the tooth with an all-ceramic crown.
An artificial crown acts as a permanent cover for the entire tooth, including the edges and any damage hidden within it. The crown edge is located under the gum and is closed up with cement.

When we use all-ceramic crowns, we achieve the best dental aesthetics and an optimal appearance of the gums in most cases. In the past, artificial crowns were made of metal and a layer of ceramic. A metallic line was often visible on the gums or became visible when the gums receded. The all-ceramic crown, on the other hand, creates a healthy connection with the gums. These advantages are why we prefer to work with all-ceramic crowns.
It is important to know that all our all-ceramic products are made from a single piece of ceramic. There are other methods in which a hard ceramic core is covered with a fragile ceramic layer. This often results in damage known as “chip-off”. These are usually difficult to repair without producing a new crown. This is not the case at ZahnCity. We use Orodent and Empress for posterior and anterior teeth. Both variants are made of one piece, so that “chip-off” is not a problem.

If you have lost one or more teeth and have reached the limits of the implant method, we can offer a solution using bridges. The missing teeth are replaced with suspended crowns. The surrounding teeth can be used as supports for the bridge construction. A bridge consists of several crowns joined together in a segment, which makes the construction very strong. All-ceramic crowns and bridges can also be used when you have implants. These are permanently attached to the implants with screws.
